How To Register:

Read over the materials concerning "General Info", "Class List", "Class Schedule",  "Instructor Bios", etc. and decide which classes you would like to take ( note: seating space in the various class rooms cannot be pre-reserved and will be available on a first-come / first-serve basis only on the day of the event ). Also study the info concerning the optional handout book, CDs and lunches.

ONLINE Registration: Once you've read over this material then click the "Register" link on the left side of this page and fill in the registration form.   You may change your selections on the form freely untill you actually click the "Submit Form" button ( note: pressing the "Enter" key while filling in the registration form will cause the form to be submitted pre-maturely; if that happens, just re-submit the corrected form).

Registration is free but limited to 450 persons and will be closed at that point. The optional items listed below (Books, CDs and Lunches) may not be available if ordered later than one week prior to the date of the Jamboree. The classes are totally free but there is a charge to cover expenses for the optional items.

Once your registration form has been completed, you will have a chance to review your data and accept it as entered. A printable confirmation will then be displayed. You should print it out and bring that page with you to the Jamboree. Once our limit of 450 has been met, online registration will be closed. You must send a check for the optional items listed below, prior to the event. You should arrive at the FHJ at 08:00am and report to the registration desk to pick up your entry ticket and any of the optional items that you may have ordered. You will then be given a progam that includes a map of the building so that you'll be able to find your class rooms.

Optional Items:

A book is available ($ 7.00) that contains all of the handouts for all of the classes. This saves a lot of note taking.

A CD is available ($ 4.00) that contains the handout materials for previous years ( since 1999 ) that this program has been presented and a selection of research guides and helpful hints to further your genealogical research. New items are added each year. Click here to see a PDF file listing the contents of the CD.

You may bring your own sack lunch, visit a local restaurant, or purchase a sack lunch on site ($ 4.00). The on site sack lunch includes:

  • a choice of a six inch Ham & cheese or Turkey & cheese Sub sandwich (from Subway) ( dressed with lettuce, tomato, and pickles; mustard and/or mayonnaise packets )

  • an individual sized bag of potato chips

  • 2 soft style cookies

  • a 4 oz. cup of mixed fruit

  • a 12 oz. drink ( pop / fruit Juice / water / lemonade)

  • a large individual wrapped peppermint candy

An area will be provided for lunch. We ask that you not eat in the class rooms.

If you choose to purchase one or more of these items, you will be given instructions on where to send your check, after you register.

Please note that we make the final determination on how many of each item that we will have on-hand based on the funds that we have actually received (not on orders) two weeks prior to the actual Jamboree date. Although we attempt to estimate the amount of these items that will be available for late registrations there is no guarantee they will be available.

Refund Policy:

The Money for items ordered will be returned if requested more than two weeks before the event.  After that time money for lunches, CD's and books will not be returned.  Those books and CD's for which money has already been received, will be available for pickup or will be mailed to you at the address specified on your registration form.
